Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury is a Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Comilla University. He completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mass Communication and Journalism from Comilla University. His teaching interests include Media, Culture and Society, Communication Theories, Media Research and Cultural Analysis, Political Communication, Public Relations, and the History of Bangladesh. He is interested in teaching both the theoretical and practical aspects of media and communication and contributes to course development, curriculum-related activities, and student mentoring.
Mr. Chowdhury’s research interests include journalists’ mental health, media representation, framing, political communication, misinformation and disinformation, and health communication. His research focuses on the relationship between media, society, culture, identity, and power, particularly in the Bangladeshi context. His work has examined the representation of Indigenous communities in Bangladeshi films, journalists’ experiences during political crises, and the role of misinformation in creating social exclusion and alienation among minority communities.
His research methods including content analysis, discourse analysis, thematic analysis, and media framing. He is also interested in films, literature, culture, history, and international affairs.
