Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ahsan Ullah was born in a respected Muslim family of Sontoshpur at Sandwip Upazilla in Chittagong District on December 12, 1970. He is the youngest son of Mr. Mohammad Nurul Huda and Mrs. Amena Huda among four brothers and two sisters. He passed SSC and HSC from science group in 1986 and 1988 respectively . He obtained his BBA (Hons) degree in 1996 and MBA (Management) in 1997 from the Department of Management Studies under the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He received his Ph.D degree on Bank Management from the Faculty of Business Administration under the same University in 2010. Dr. Ahsan joined Comilla University, Cumilla as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Studies on January 20, 2011. He had been promoted to the post of Associate Professor on August 3, 2013 and Professor on December 6, 2018 in the same department. Now, he is the Director, Research & Extension, Comilla University, Cumilla. Previously, he was the Dean, Faculty of Business Studies, Comilla University, Cumilla. He had also been the Director, Student Counseling and Guidance, Comilla University, Cumilla for about six years. He was in the charge of Proctor of the university. He had been the Chairman of the department for about eight and half years. Furthermore, he was the Editor of The Comilla University Journal of Business Studies and the member of the then central Journal (The Comilla Univrsity Journal) of the University. He was the member of the University Syndicate. He was also in the Finance Committee of the University for several times. Moreover, he was the Founder President of Comilla University Teachers’ Association and a member of the executive committee of the then Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers' Associations. He started his career in the then premier English daily 'The Bangladesh Observer' as a Reporter in 2000 and continued upto 2001. Then he served Chittagong Metropolitan Commerce College, Chittagong as a Lecturer in the Department of Management from 2001 to 2004; Leading University, Sylhet as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration from 2004 to 2008; Prime University, Dhaka as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration from 2008 to 2010 and Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), Dhaka as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management from 2010 to 2011. In the meantime, he worked as the Chairman (In-Charge) in the Department of Business Administration, Prime University, Dhaka. He is, now, the Syndicate Member of BAIUST (Bangladesh Army International University of Science & Technology), Cumilla nominated by UGC. Moreover, he worked as a management expert in the committee of courses, selection board and editorial board at different universities. He is also the expert member of the selection board of National University for the selection of the faculty at different colleges. He has also been participating, as an expert member, in the inspection teams of National University in providing approval for the Pass and Honor’s degrees to the colleges under National University. Dr. Ahsan has written a good number of research articles in different research journals at different universities of Bangladesh and the world as well. He also participated in several international seminars at home and abroad. He was awarded as the best Professor in the category of Human Resource Management by World HRD Congress in 2018. He received the award from World HRD Congress on February 17, 2018 held in Taj Land End, Mumbai, India from February 15-17, 2018.
