=Short Biography= This is Dr. Md. Shahadat Hossain, Associate Professor of Chemistry at Comilla University, Bangladesh. He started his professional career at Comilla University as a Lecturer in Chemistry since December 04, 2011. Before that Dr. Hossain worked as a Lecturer in Chemistry at Primeasia University, Dhaka, Bangladesh from February 05, 2011 to December 03, 2011. He was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering (2016-2020) on Renewable & Sustainable Energy Development (Catalytic Water Splitting) from the School of Materials Science & Engineering of Wuhan University of Technology, China (Best Graduate Award in 2020 and Excellent Student Award in 2018 & 2019) under the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC). His Ph.D. supervisor Dr. Francis Verpoort, Professor of Ghent University of Belgium and Chair Professor of Wuhan University of Technology of China is a renowned scientist in the world. Dr. Hossain completed his MS degree (2008) in Physical Chemistry (with first position in overall merit list) at University of Chittagong, Bangladesh and received his undergraduate studies (2007) in Chemistry (with first position in overall merit list) from the same University.

He has published more than 25 scientific articles in peer-reviewed International and National scientific journals and ~10 conference proceedings. Specially, Dr. Hossain’s contribution during his Ph.D. program was really outstanding and published his research work in world prestigious journals. He visited China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Srilanka, India, etc. and participated in international conferences and presented his research idea. Dr. Hossain is serving as a reviewer of numerous international and national journals. His research activities are mainly in the field of Catalytic Water Splitting, Electrochemistry, Organometallics, Solution Chemistry, CO2 Fixation, etc. Dr. Hossain has outstanding problem-solving ability regarding chemical research. He has also an excellent operational skill in handling numerous equipment’s in the laboratory to carry out the research work. He possesses an excellent communicating skill to interact with different research communities and even has a lot of international & national research collaboration.
