Dr. Md. Amdadul Hoque is an academic and researcher in the field of Finance and Banking, currently serving as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Finance and Banking and Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies at Comilla University, Bangladesh. He joined Comilla University in 2014 and previously served as an Assistant Professor and Lecturer. Earlier in his career, he worked at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), Prime University, and Asian University of Bangladesh.
Dr. Hoque earned his PhD in Finance from Putra Business School, Universiti Putra Malaysia, and holds an MBA in Banking and a BBA in Finance from the University of Dhaka. His teaching and academic expertise includes Business Finance, Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Banking, Investment Analysis, Portfolio Management, Project Appraisal and Management, Business Statistics, and Research Methodology.
He has held several important academic and administrative positions, including Provost of Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall, Program Director of the MBA (Weekend) Program, and Acting Head of the Department of Finance and Banking.
His research interests include banking, fintech, artificial intelligence, green banking, sustainability, financial technology adoption, and financial markets. He has published extensively in national and international journals, including Scopus- and Web of Science-indexed journals, contributing to contemporary research in finance, banking, technology, and sustainable development. Through his teaching, research, and academic leadership, Dr. Hoque remains committed to advancing knowledge, innovation, and excellence in business education.
