Dr. Mohammad Solaiman is a Professor in the Department of Marketing, Comilla University, Bangladesh. Dr. Solaiman currently holds the position of Chairman, Department of Marketing, Comilla University, Bangladesh. Professor Solaiman has more than years of administrative experience, including roles as Chairman, Department of Marketing at Comilla University (years), Program Director, MBA Evening Program (05 times), Student Advisor (05 years) Chairman, OBE(Objective Based Education) Curriculum (01 year), Member, Self-assessment Committee (01 year) and Assistant Proctor (02 years), House Tutor at Nwab Faijunnessa Chowdhururani Residential Hall for ( Years) at the same institution. Additionally, Professor Solaiman has contributed as Member of The Comilla University Journal of Business Studies. Since the university's inception, he has played a pivotal role in formulating exam and other rules and regulations for Undergrad and Postgraduate program. He has been an active participant in university serving as a Member Secretary of Dean’s Award committee for 1st Convocation, Academic Council, He has also been expert member, guest teacher, academic advisor and curriculum expert of this and other public and private universities. Professor Solaiman's extensive experience encompasses key academic and administrative roles within the university. Notably, he was the founding teacher of the Department of Marketing, Comilla University. He specializes in marketing especially green marketing and green purchase behaviours and teaches courses relating to marketing in postgraduate and undergraduate levels. He has about 18years of experience in the university-level teaching and research. He has published a good number of articles in leading local and international journals. He is also interested in Islamic micro finance and banking. He has supervised several BBA, MBA and MBA (Evening) internship and thesis students. He has also taught international students at UniMap, in Malaysia.
Professor Solaiman graduated with a BBA (Honors) from the University of Dhaka in 2004, and in 2005, he earned an MBA in Marketing obtaining good CGPA in both the examinations. He attended the University Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP) in Malaysia for his PhD working in green marketing. Professor Solaiman's research output is noteworthy, with over 25 research articles published in both local and Scopus indexed international journals. Born into a prominent Muslim family on January 02, 1980, in Cumilla, Professor Solaiman is the offspring of Abdul Hafiz and Shamima Akter, renowned for their charitable contributions and commitment to education and social welfare activities. Professor Solaiman's spouse, a judicial officer, currently holds the position of additional District Judge, The Ministry of Law and Justice, Secretariate, the Peoples republic of Bangladesh. The couple is blessed with three daughters. In line with the values instilled by his parents, Professor Solaiman is dedicated to assisting the less fortunate in society and advancing education through the Abdul Hafiz Foundation, a charitable organization holding the position of its chairman, he actively supports. Professor Solaiman is a recognized figure in the media landscape, with his insights on higher education, and socio-political issues frequently featured in newspapers and shared through electronic media outlets.
Professor Solaiman's engagement in various social, cultural, and Non-political organizations has remained active since his days as a student. Dr. Solaiman was the president of Organizations for students’ advancement (OSA). Dr. Solaiman holds membership in a good number of professional
