Md. Mosharraf Hossain was born into a respected Muslim family in Bangodda, Nangolkot Upazila, Cumilla District, Bangladesh, on July 1, 1991. He is the youngest son of Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman and Mrs. Halima Begum. He is the youngest among two brothers and one sister.
He completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in Humanities in 2006 and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination in Business Studies in 2008. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) (Hons) degree in 2013 and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resource Management in 2014 from the Department of Management Studies at Comilla University, Bangladesh.
Mr. Hossain started his academic career as a Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) at Port City International University, Chittagong, where he served from 2017 to 2019. He joined Comilla University, Cumilla, as a Lecturer in the Department of Management Studies on July 1, 2019. He was promoted to the position of Assistant Professor in the same department on August 4, 2021.
During his academic career at Comilla University, Mr. Hossain served as the Convener of the Management Club and Assistant Proctor. Furthermore, he is one of the Editors of the International Journal of Management and Accounting (IJMA), https://www.universepg.com/editors/ijma.
In recognition of his academic excellence and research potential, Mr. Hossain has been awarded the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship and the Tokyo Global Partner Scholarship at Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan. He will commence his doctoral study under the Tokyo Global Partner Program in Tourism Science from the October 2026 session.
Mr. Hossain has published several research articles in national and international journals. His research contributions focus on management studies, human resource management, tourism science, and related fields. He continues to contribute to academic research through his publications and scholarly activities.
