Israt Jahan Nimni is an assistant professor in the department of English at Comilla University. She completed her graduation and post-graduation in English Literature from the department of English, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Before joining Comilla University, Israt was a faculty member of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Noakhali, Bangladesh. She was also a Visiting Postgraduate Researcher (VS PGR) at the University of Birmingham, UK.
Israt is an enthusiastic participant and presenter at national and international conferences at home and abroad. Her recent works have been published in the International Journal of African Renaissance Studies (a Q1 Journal) by Taylor and Francis and University Press Limited (UPL), respectively. She has successfully completed several UGC-funded research projects as the Principal Investigator (PI) at Comilla University. Her research interests include Postcolonial Literature, South Asian Literature, Bangladeshi Literature, and British-Muslim Literature.
