Mst Noiyan Tara is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Comilla University, Bangladesh. She holds her Bachelor and Master (MSS) in economics from Comilla University. She earned her PhD from Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. Her PhD research area focused on the Bangladesh manufacturing sector.

She started her teaching career as a lecturer in economics at Comilla University. Now she is working as an Assistant Professor at the same University. She has successfully completed three research projects funded by Comilla University internal research grant scheme. Now she supervises several undergraduate and master thesis students, guiding them in quantitative research methods and empirical analysis.

Her research areas of interests are international trade, development economics, labour economics, and industrial economics. Currently, she focuses on increasing proficiency in data science and machine learning using R and Python to build predictive models for data analysis. She is integrating these machine learning tools into her ongoing research works. She published six articles in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals. Her researches will significantly impact economics as well as country’s manufacturing industries. Now, she is well positioned to lead high-impact, policy-relevant research that addresses Bangladesh’s most pressing economic challenges.
