Md. Dulal Hossain Khan is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Comilla University, Bangladesh, since July 1, 2021. He was previously appointed as a Lecturer in the same department on July 1, 2019. Before joining Comilla University, Mr. Khan served as a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology at Stamford University Bangladesh, Dhaka, from January 1, 2017, to June 30, 2019.

He completed his B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. degrees with distinction from the Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2013 and 2014, respectively. He obtained a Master’s degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Florida Atlantic University, United States, in 2025, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the same department under study leave from Comilla University.

His current research focuses on the development of bio/chemical sensors to obtain accurate qualitative and quantitative information on target analytes, facilitating research in environmental, biological (physiological), and pharmaceutical fields.

Research Focus:

  • Real-time sensing of ions and biomarkers at the cellular and in vivo levels.

  • Development of portable devices for the selective detection of environmental pollutants, bacteria, and metal ions.

  • Integrated microfluidic platform-based cell/bacteria analysis and drug screening.
