Jahirul Islam Babar is a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Comilla University. He obtained both his BSc (Hons) and MSc degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Jahangirnagar University. His research interests lie in the areas of natural language processing, deep learning, machine learning, internet of things, and their applications in agriculture, mental health, and social media analysis.
He is currently engaged in research focusing on mental health prediction using multimodal data. In addition to his research and teaching responsibilities, he is committed to fostering innovation and interdisciplinary learning among students.
He has taught a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of computer science and engineering. He emphasizes both theoretical foundations and practical applications in his teaching. The courses he has taught include
